Southeastern Wildlife Services, Inc. has conducted an intensive archeological testing program at four prehistoric sites on the Carmouche Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) range, Fort Benning, Georgia, 9Me2l, 9Ce2O, FS17, and FS20.

A cultural resource survey was conducted over the 1.53 mile length of Woody Creek Road around the lower slopes of Black Mountain. No sites were found on the steep slopes or in the two disturbed saddle areas in the roadway. Clearance is recommended.

On June 4, 1983, Robert S. Webb of Claude Terry & Associates, Inc. (CTA) , conducted a 100 percent coverage cultural resource pedestrian survey of the proposed Oglethorpe Power Corporation Moose Lodge transmission line corridor in Carroll County, Georgia.

On February 5, 1983, Robert S. Webb of Claude Terry & Associates, Inc. (CTA) conducted a 100 percent coverage cultural resource pedestrian survey of proposed sewerage system improvements in Commerce, Jackson County, Georgia.

On January 15, 1983, Robert S. Webb and Larry Knight, archeological consultants for Claude Terry & Associates, Inc. (CTA) conducted a 100 percent coverage cultural resource pedestrian survey of the proposed 70 acre land application site in Pierce County, Georgia.

Over a 12-day period, during the months May and June 1982, the author conducted cultural resource surveys on four proposed dams and a proposed dike system for the Big Cedar Creek Watershed Project for the Soil Conservation Service, Polk County, Georgia.

On July 6-7, 1982, cultural resource surveys were conducted by the author on a total of 275 acres covering the Horse Point, Rome Point and the Loop Road Right-of-Way in Fannin County, Georgia.

A cultural resource survey was conducted over a 2-mile length of proposed road FS 339 which extends from Noontootla Creek to Peter Knob in Fannin County, Georgia. Field reconnaissance which included subsurface testing located two aboriginal sites and one historic rock pile site.
