On July 19, 2017, Brockington and Associates, Inc. (Brockington) conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the six-acre Bob Fleming Study Area in Cobb County, Georgia.

Archeological Assessment of a Cobb/Cherokee County Tree Removal Project. This project consists of clearing, grubbing, vegetation, and tree removal along 1-575, beginning at the 1-75/1-575 Split in Cobb County and ending at the Cherokee/Pickens County Line.

Archeological Assessment of the White County Resurfacing Project. This proposed project is 7.76 miles in length and consists of leveling, resurfacing, and patching of SR 17 in White County beginning 0.10 mile north of SR 75 Alt. (MP 7.56) and ending at the Towns County line (MP 15.32).

Archeological Assessment of a Rabun County Road Improvement Project. This proposed project consists of the milling, leveling and resurfacing of SR 15 from M.P. 15.063 to Lamb Road (M.P. 19.828). All work will take place within the existing right-of-way, with no new right-of-way required.

Archeological Assessment of a Fayette County Resurfacing Project. This project consists of milling, leveling, resurfacing and shoulder building on SR 85, beginning at M.P. 10.64 and ending at the Fayette/Clayton County Line (M.P. 15.16). All work will take place within the existing right-of-way.
