The Covington/Newton County 201 Facilities Planning Study involved the survey of a parcel of land intended for use as a spray irrigated effluent recipient. The effluent will result from treatment by the City of Covington's Sewage Treatment Plant.

This report summarizes the results of an archaeological survey related to a proposed borrow pit in the Public Wildlife Recreation Area in Troup County, Georgia.

At George T. Bagby State Park an area proposed for development was archaeologically surveyed on 11 January 1980. The development is the installation of a drain line from a comfort station to the site of a new drain field.

SSI conducted a cultural resource survey of the proposed Water and Sewer System Expansion and Related Areas for Walker County, Georgia.

A summary of the archeology and history of Hermitage Island based upon a literature search and reconnaissance survey is provided.

At George T. Bagby State Park sites proposed for development were archaeologically surveyed. The development planned was a boat dock, a boat dock and rest station, and re-location of a drain field. No archaeological sites (resources) were identified in the areas surveyed.

In preparation of planning for a active recreational facility, the proposed Newtown Community Park, located in Gold Lot 94, Dist. 1st, 1st Section, North Fulton (original Cherokee) County, Georgia, an intensive archeological investigation was carried out on 34.64 acres of Piedmont upland.

A summary of the archeology and history of the Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge is provided, based upon a literature search and intensive archeological survey. Only one project component poses any possible threat to cultural resources; alternatives are discussed.
