On October 3, 2006 Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., conducted a Phase I archeological survey of the proposed 1.1 ha (2.75 ac) Sandy Flats 115/25/12 kV substation and the proposed 1,400 m (4,593 ft) long by 30 m (100 ft) wide Sandy Flats transmission line in southwestern White County.

Archeological Survey of Project CSSTP-0007-00(081), Walker County The proposed project would consist of the installation of a span wire type traffic light and crosswalks at the intersection of SR 1/US 27 at Bicentennial Trail for the purpose of improving safety and traffic operations.
