On June 20 and September 3, 2014, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted a second addendum Phase I archaeological survey for the proposed State Route (SR) 9 Improvements project in Fulton County, Georgia.

During June 2010, and May and June of 2012, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted additional Phase I archaeological survey for the proposed State Route (SR) 107 widening project (Georgia Department of Transportation [GDOT] Project Nos. STP-0000-00[311], [313] and [314]; P.I. Nos.

The following research design outlines Edwards- Pitman Environmental, Inc.'s (EPEI's) proposed study approach for a battlefield archaeological survey of an area of Cobb and Paulding counties, Georgia.

From December 3, 2013 to January 24, 2014, EPEI conducted a Phase I/II archaeological and metal detector survey along a portion of State Route (SR) 92, in Cobb and Paulding counties, from the SR 92/SR 381/Dallas Acworth Highway and County Road (CR) 473/Cedarcrest Road (hereafter CR 473) intersect

On June 7, 2011, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted additional Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed State Route (SR) 17 Widening in Stephens and Franklin counties, Georgia [Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Project Nos. EDS-545(20) & EDS-545(37), P.L Nos.

On June 14, 2011, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted additional Phase I archaeological survey for two new areas of expanded easement along the proposed Cleveland West Bypass in White County, Georgia.

The 2011 reevaluation completed by EPEI is the second reevaluation performed for this project. The original survey was completed in 2003 by Southeastern Archeological Services (Patton 2003).

The proposed operational improvement project is located along South Cobb Drive/State Route (SR) 280 near its interchange with Interstate (I) 285.

The proposed project consists of the addition of approximately 0.5 mile of new connector roadway (hereafter referred to as the Skip Spann Connector) over Interstate 75 (1-75) between Frey Road and Busbee Drive, approximately 1,140 feet north of the Chastain Road bridge over I- 75 in Cobb County,

During the course of this project, several design changes have been made that have resulted in the need for additional survey. The original survey was completed in June of 2007 (Quirk 2007).
