The proposed project begins 1 mile within the city limits of Rome in Floyd County and runs eastbound to 2 miles west of Cartersville in Bartow County on SR 20/US 411. The proposed project would reconstruct existing median crossovers.

The proposed project would widen SR 101/Dean Avenue from CR 740/CS 899 north to Lombardy Way. SR 101 would be widened to a four-lane roadway with a 20 foot raised median. Existing right-of-way is approximately 60-80 feet. An additional 20 feet of proposed right-of-way would be required.

Due to the emergency nature of the repairs, the following project was completed prior to environmental clearance. The project consisted of the replacement of the triple barrel 10 ft. X 7 ft. culvert located along Whiddon Mill Road over Heard Creek in Tift County (see attached location map).

The proposed project would replace the structurally deficient bridge on CR 321/Taliaferro Road over the Chattooga River. The existing two-lane rural section consists of two 9 foot travel lanes and 5 foot shoulders on 50 feet of right-of-way (ROW).

The proposed project would surplus a 2.909 acre GDOT owned parcel in the southeast quadrant of the US 78 and Epps Bridge Parkway intersection. The parcel is severely disturbed by past development including building construction, parking lot constructions, and driveway construction.

The proposed project would consist of intersection improvements on SR 242 at CR 210/Waco Mill Road and CS 659/Hospital Road in the City of Sandersville. The total project length would be approximately 0.91 mile. The existing right-of-way along SR 242 varies from 80 feet to 100 feet.

The proposed project would replace the bridge on SR 57/Wiregrass Trail over 1-95 in McIntosh County. The existing right-of-way on SR 57/Wiregrass Trail is 200 feet and the maximum proposed right-of-way would vary between 200-350 feet.

The proposed project would reconstruct the median crossover on SR 520, 0.33 mile west of 1-95. The left turn lane to 1-95 northbound would also be extended to provide a longer storage lane. The southbound exit ramp would be relocated adjacent to the eastbound ramp.
