Southern Research, Historic Preservation Consultants, Inc. conducted a phase one archaeological survey for the proposed Elim Church Road Substation in Long County, Georgia. The proposed substation will be located approximately 4.25 miles northeast of Ludowici, Georgia (Figure 1).

Southern Research, Historic Preservation Consultants, Inc., conducted an intensive archaeological survey and testing of the proposed location for the Floydtown 115/25 kV substation in Miller County, Georgia. The proposed substation site encompasses approximately 5.2 acres.

A nineteenth century cemetery was accidentally discovered during construction activities at Fort Benning, Georgia. Preliminary historical and archeological investigations suggest that the individuals buried there may have been members of the Missionary Colored Baptist Church.

Southeastern Wildlife Services, Inc , Athens, Georgia, was selected to conduct a cultural resources survey on two parcels of land situated the boundaries of Ft. Benning Military Reservation, Muscogee County, Georgia.

On or about the first of February, 1974, a request for an archaeological survey of a 289 acre tract in Hall County Georgia, near Flowery Branch, was received by the author from Dr. Lewis H. Larson, Jr., State Archaeologist.

This project is a phase I archaeological survey within the APE corridor of a proposed multi-use trail at Columbus State University. The trail will incorporate some existing sidewalks and bridges. It is intended to connect with a defunct rail line in the Rails To Trails Project.

An archeological survey of the proposed construction site of the new Wastewater Treatment Facility in Cadwell, Georgia, was conducted at the request of Lovell Engineering Associates, Atlanta, Georgia. The survey failed to locate any archeological or historical resources.

The intensive archaeological testing program at the McIntosh Sugarhouse was funded jointly by Camden County and the Kings Bay Impact Coordinating Committee and administered by the Historic Preservation Section of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

An archaeological survey of a proposed road right-of-way was conducted in a portion of the Oconee National Forest. The known site was delineated and tested. The site dates primarily to the Lamar period with minor components dating to the Middle Archaic and Early Woodland periods.

Southern Research has completed the Historical and Archaeological Resources Survey for the proposed New Student Center.
