Report Abstracts

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation

Act of 1966, archaeological surveys were conducted with the following projects between March 21-23, 1979.

Archaeological Assessment of a Miller County Off-System Safety Improvement Project. The proposed project would install roadway striping and warning signs on Bellview Road (CR 1), Cooktown Road (CR 31), and Jeterville Road (CR.l1) in Miller County for a total of 23.03 miles.

Archaeological Assessment of an Early County Off-System Safety Improvement Project. The proposed project would install roadway striping, warning signs, and raised pavement marking on Cedar Springs Road (CR 300) and First Kolomoki Road (CR 280) in Early County for a total of 22.3 miles.

Archaeological Assessment of a Putnam County Resurfacing Project. The proposed project consists of the resurfacing, leveling, shoulder building, patching, shoulder paving and milling of SR 44 beginning at M.P. 12.56 and ending at M.P. 22.74.

Archeological Assessment of a Jackson County Resurfacing Project. This proposed project consists of milling, paving, installing permanent pavement markings, and 2' shoulder paving on SR 332 beginning at its intersection with SR 53 and ending at M.P. 8.93.

Archaeological Assessment of a Barrow County Resurfacing Project. The proposed project consists of the milling, overlaying, permanent pavement markings, raised pavement markings and shoulder building of SR 211 beginning at M.P. 13.42 and ending at M.P. 23.20.
