Pickett's Mill Historic Site is located in Paulding County, Georgia, approximately 26 miles northwest of Atlanta. The site consists of 880 acres, which includes most of the area of the Battle of Pickett's Mill, May 27, 1864, and associated military actions of May 26-31, 1864.

Per your request, on behalf of Southeastern Archeological Services, I conducted archival research and archaeological investigation of an abandoned cemetery that is located about 200 yards southeast of Baker Place Road at a point about 400 yards south of Interstate Highway 20, in

This letter and enclosed map and photographs constitute my report of archeological and archival investigations into an abandoned cemetery located on the referenced property.

I am reporting herein on my activities yesterday to better define the above-referenced cemetery. As you know, I visited the cemetery on February 12, 2007 and used a 3 ft long probe to detect about 25 to 30 graves in a squarish area that was about 80 by 90 ft.

An archeological survey was conducted by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., Athens, Georgia of 4.4 km (2. 75 mi) of proposed expanded right-of-way for Dickey Road in Jenkins County, Georgia. The county proposes to pave, and thus slightly widen the road.

Edwards-Pitman, Inc. (EP) conducted the Phase I archaeological survey for the proposed intersection conversion at State Route (SR) 372 and County Road (CR) 4/Birmingham Road/Hickory Flat Road in Milton, Fulton County, Georgia (PI No. 0016443).

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) proposes to replace the State Route (SR) 83 bridges over Lee Creek and Ocmulgee River in Jasper and Monroe Counties under PI No. 0013813. The bridges would be built on a new alignment north of the existing bridges.
