The following is a final report on the work done under a cooperative agreement Between Fort Stewart, Georgia and the University of Georgia Research Foundation, Inc.

In April of 2002, Prentice Thomas and Associates, Inc. (PTA) was awarded Contract No. C5000030247 for large-scale archaeological survey at Fort Stewart Military Reservation and Hunter Army Airfield in southeastern Georgia.

In September, 2011, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted a Phase I archaeological survey for the proposed Bob Callan Trunk Trail, Phase 2, along Rottenwood Creek (P.I. 0010009).

This report details a cooperative investigation of selected Civil War battlefields on U.S.D.A. Forest Service lands in northwestern Georgia.

The proposed project would consist of the replacement of the existing bridge along CR 34/Second Avenue over the Hannahatchee Creek in the city of Omaha, Georgia (see attached location map).

In 2002, Prentice Thomas and Associates, Inc. was awarded Contract No. C5890020159 to provide test and evaluation services to support the cultural resources management program at Fort Stewart Military Reservation and Hunter Army Airfield.

The PA states that the purpose of the Annual Report is to "be a comprehensive compilation of all activities carried out under the terms of this Agreement and accomplished during the previous calendar year…" for both Fort Stewart and its sub-installation, Hunter Army Airfield (HAAF).
