The Wildlife Resources Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is proposing to construct an earthen dam across an unnamed tributary of the Ocmulgee River in the Ocmulgee Wildlife Management Area (WMA) to create an enlarged public fishing lake for recreational use.

Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., under contract with Jordan, Jones and Goulding, Inc., recently conducted an intensive cultural resources survey of the proposed City of Gainesville wastewater spray field.

This report presents the results of an intensive archeological survey performed by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. in southeastern Houston County, where the Georgia Transmission Corporation wishes to construct the proposed Houston County Landfill 115/25 kV Substation.

Southern Research, Historic Preservation Consultants, Inc., conducted an intensive archaeological survey of approximately 30 miles of the existing North Dublin-Eastman 230 kV transmission line corridor in Dodge and Laurens counties, Georgia.

Archeological field investigations, archival research and informant interview was used to assess the significance of three archeological sites that were discovered during a previous survey of a proposed highway widening corridor in Taylor and Upson Counties.

Emanuel County is intending to pave and straighten a 10.67 Ian (6.63 mi) section of Grande Creek Road in southwest Emanuel County. Half of the project consists of minor widening of the existing dirt road, and half consists of building a road on a new location.
