This study is a Phase I survey of the proposed impact area of widening SR 20 in Gwinnett and Walton Counties between the intersections of Highway 81 and Oak Grove Road.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed impact area surrounding Jester's Creek and portions of Reynolds Road in Clayton County. Following background research, a pedestrian survey of the corridor was conducted on March 14, 2005.

The study consists of an archaeological survey of the approximately 5 miles of the proposed South River Greenway Trail in DeKalb County.

On June 6, 2007, New South Associates conducted an archaeological survey of the proposed trail connector at the intersection of 1-85 and Georgia Highway 20. The project is intended to connect an existing sidewalk located along Georgia Highway 20 with a newly constructed trail along Ivy Creek.

The current project was conducted as an addendum to the 2004 survey along the Peachtree Street North Corridor between the intersection of 10th Street and Spring Street conducted by Theresa Hamby of New South Associates.

This project investigated a half-mile segment along SR 211 and an additional half-mile along SR 124 centered on their intersection in Barrow County, Georgia. The improvements will provide dual left-turn lanes on SR 211.

No existing or eligible National Register archaeological resources were located within the project's area of potential environmental effect.

In March 2005 New South Associates conducted a phase I archaeological survey of the proposed impact area of the Westside Landfill in Murray County, Georgia. The study tract is composed of approximately 125 acres west of and adjacent to the existing landfill property.

New South Associates conducted a cultural resources assessment of the proposed Ellenwood Subdivision tract along Conley Creek in Dekalb County, Georgia as a result of a permit requirement from Dekalb County.
