Addendum to Archeological Survey of Six Proposed Bridge Replacements on the Coastal Plain of Southeastern Georgia.

On September 25, 2004, staff from Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) revisited the location of a proposed bridge replacement project in Candler County, Georgia. The bridge is located on State Route 46 (SR 46) and crosses Fifteen mile Creek.

On March 21, 2005, staff from Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) revisited the location of a proposed bridge replacement project in Lamar County, Georgia. (Figure 1). The bridge is located on State Route 36 (SR 36) and crosses Buck Creek.

On December 13 and 14, 2004, and January 28, 2005, staff from Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) revisited the location of a proposed intersection improvement/realignment project roughly three miles north of the City of Elberton in Elbert County, Georgia. (Figure 1).

The proposed project would replace the collapsed bridge with a new bridge structure, which would be constructed approximately 200 feet south of the former bridge location. The bridge would be a three-span concrete structure with Type I beams and 63-inch bulb tee beams.

The proposed roadway would be constructed primarily on new location with a four-lane typical section and 20-foot raised median, with rural 10-foot shoulders, 6.5 feet of which would be paved. A four-foot paved bike lane would be included within the 6.5-foot paved portion of the shoulder.

This document is an addendum to an Archaeological Survey of the Proposed Lewis Road Improvements Project Area, Cobb County, Georgia, the Austell quad. Original: the proposed project would consist of roadway improvements to Lewis Road in the city of Powder Springs.

The proposed project would consist of the rehabilitation of the former Trailways Bus Station located at 450 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Macon, Georgia, into a multi-purpose downtown visitors' center. There were no archaeological findings in the area.

The proposed project would consist of improvement to approximately 0.40 mile of Roosevelt Street in the City of Albany, Dougherty County, to allow for the installation of medians between the Norfolk Southern Railroad and the east and westbound traffic.
