New South Associates has completed a Phase I Archaeological Survey of Bridge 031-0011-0 at State Road (SR) 26 (U.S. 80) over Caney Branch in Bulloch County, Georgia.

The project involves the replacement of Bridge 015-5014-0, which carries Norton Road over Tom's Creek in Bartow County. The project is included In GDOT's Low Impact Bridge Program (LIBP). The existing bridge, constructed in 1950, is structurally deficient and will be replaced.

This project involves the replacement of Bridge 015-5041-0, which carries Littlefield Road over Cedar Creek in Bartow County. The project is Included in GDOT's Low Impact Bridge Program (LIBP). The existing bridge, built in 1939, is structurally deficient and will be replaced.

This project proposes to reconfigure and widen the existing SR 138 at 1-20 interchange. GDOT has identified two alternatives for the proposed interchange: Alternative A- a diverging diamond interchange; and Alternative 8- a single point urban interchange.

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (36 CFR 800), New South Associates completed a Phase I Archaeological Survey as a sub-consultant to Keck and Wood, Inc., on behalf of the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).

The proposed undertaking would replace two existing, non-historic, structurally deficient and functionally obsolete two-lane bridges along SR 119 over the Ogeechee River (GDOT Bridge No. 031 -0050-0) on the Bulloch/Effingham county line and the overflow bridge (GDOT Bridge No.

This project involves the replacement of a structurally insufficient bridge (Bridge 119-5006-0) carrying CR 46 (Casey Road) over Unawatti Creek in Franklin County, Georgia (Attachment 1 ). The existing bridge, built in 1963, is located five miles west of Canon, Georgia.

This project involves the replacement of Bridge 147-5043-0 that carries Shoal Creek Road over Shoal Creek in Hart County, Georgia, located 4.4 miles east of Lavonia, Georgia (Attachment 1 ). The existing bridge, built in 1962, is no longer structurally sufficient and needs to be replaced.

This survey is a part of the GDOT Low Impact Bridge Program (LIBP). The 1 00-foot expanded archaeology survey corridor on typical GDOT projects will be waived in some instances, given that projects in the Program are not intended to extend beyond existing ROW.
