Addendum to the proposed Lick Creek substation site and transmission line, Putnam County, Georgia were surveyed in order to locate and identify any archaeological sites which may exist within the survey area and to determine whether such sites that exist may be eligible for nomination to the Nati

The survey area for the proposed Mountain Creek substation is an approximately 3.6 acre tract. of land on Georgia highway 34, just west of Newnan in Coweta County, Georgia (Figure 1). The proposed substation site is east of Trinity Baptist Church.

The project area of the proposed Tallassee Shoals hydroelectric facility was surveyed for the purpose of identifying and assessing the significance of any sites located within the survey area.

The 4500-acre addition to the Looper's Bend land disposal area, Murray County, Georgia, was surveyed in order to locate, identify, and assess the significance of any cultural resources which might exist within the area.

Facilities planning for wastewater management by Dalton Utilities (EPA Project Number C-130454) shows that land treatment of Dalton wastewater is the most consistent and cost effective treatment process. It provides pollution abatement while conserving energy and recycling resources.

The proposed Northwoods substation is a 3.8 acre tract of land at the intersection of Shackelford and Sweetwater roads in Gwinnett County, Georgia (Figure 1). Situated atop a hill, the proposed site is predominately open pasture (Plates 1-3).

The survey area for the proposed Asbury Transmission Line, Twiggs County, Georgia (Figure 1) is the Asbury substation site and the area up to fifty feet on either side of a center (survey) line from the substation to a point where the proposed line will connect with an existing power line.

An archaeological survey was conducted of the proposed water and sewer lines for the Canton-Cherokee Busines s and Industrial Park, Canton~ Georgia. No sites were found within the survey area~ most of which was along steeply-sloping hillsides or heavily disturbed.

The University of Georgia Department of Anthropology as contacted when a crew bulldozing a road on the marine Corps Supply Center, Albany, Georgia, uncovered a prehistoric Indian site. Don and Betty Smith visited the site August 25-27, 1973.
