Report Abstracts

Archaeological Assessment of a Jasper County Resurfacing Project. This project proposes the resurfacing, leveling, and shoulder building of SR 380 beginning at SR 83 and ending at SR 16. All work will take place within the existing right-of-way with no new right-of-way required.

As many of these projects will be in-place replacements of county bridges requiring no new right-of-way, these were cleared of archaeological involvement since the right-of-way had been severely disturbed by past construction activities.

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, the following projects were surveyed with respect to archaeological resources; especially those which may be eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) .

Archaeological Assessment of a Treutlen County Resurfacing Project. This project proposes the milling, resurfacing, leveling, patching, and shoulder building of SR 86 beginning at US 221 and ending at SR 15.

Archeological Assessment of a Bibb County Resurfacing Project. This proposed project consists of the resurfacing, milling, leveling, patching, and shoulder building on SR 74 beginning at M.P. 10.2 and ending at M.P. 13.3.
