Report Abstracts

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, Project EDS-545(22), Ware County, has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

Environmental Corporation of America (ECA) has completed an Archaeological Assessment for the federal undertaking at the subject site.

The proposed project would replace the bridge on County Road (CR) 28/Howard Roberts Road (constructed in 1961) over Walnut Creek (also known as Chehaw Creek) west of Gray, Georgia. The existing bridge is a 5-span, 80-foot-long steel stringer bridge.

The proposed work consists of milling, patching, resurfacing, striping, raised pavement markers, and installation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant wheelchair ramps (curb cuts) along a 2.540 (MP 3.74 - MP 6.28) mile section of SR 139/Riverdale Road from 1-285 to CS 7134/Best Road

The proposed work consists of milling, patching, resurfacing, striping, raised pavement markers, and installation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant wheelchair ramps (curb cuts) along a 4.05 mile section of SR 154/Memorial Drive (Figure 1).
