The project corridor runs along both sides of Peachtree Dunwoody Road and is approximately 4,200 feet (1.28 kilometers) in length. The study corridor begins at the intersection of the Glenridge Connector and ends at the intersection of the 1-285 overpass.

From 18 to 20 January 2003, Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted Phase I archaeological survey along Flat Shoals Road and 1-285 in advance of proposed reconstruction and rehabilitation of the interchange.
