The proposed new bridge would be built immediately to the north of the existing bridge, with traffic maintained on the existing bridge while the new bridge is built. The new bridge would be wider than the existing one but would still consist of only two lanes.

The project consists of reconstructing the existing signalization at eight intersection locations in the town of Blakely. Early County (list attached). Signal mast arms, poles, ramps/crosswalks, controller cabinets, and fiber optic interconnections would bz included.

The current, structurally deficient bridge would be replaced by a new bridge at the existing location with traffic maintained during construction on an on-site detour to the east of the existing structure.

Construction of a bridge on SR 25/US 17 to provide a grade separation between the roadway and a Georgia Ports Authority railroad track on Colonels Island. Project was surveyed in January 2002 and no cultural resources were recorded.

The structurally deficient SR 81 bridge over the Alcovy River would be replaced by a new bridge 22 m (72 ft) to the south, with new approaches east and west of the bridge. Traffic would be maintained on the existing structure until the new one is operational.

A Phase I cultural resources survey was conducted by PBS&J for Gwinnett County's Department of Public Utilities Big Haynes Creek Wetlands Demonstration Project in Gwinnett County, Georgia. The total project area subjected to an intensive pedestrian survey is 6.7 acres.

An intensive archaeological resources survey was carried out for the Georgia Transmission Corporation's proposed Palmyra-Century Transmission Line in Lee County, Georgia.

On September 13-15th, 1999, Brockington and Associates, Inc. conducted archaeological testing at Site 9LE56 along the proposed Palmyra-Century Transmission Line corridor in Lee County, Georgia.
