Report Abstracts

This report is the result of archaeological investigations on U.S. Forest Service land on the Apalachee River near the Morgan County community of Swords, Georgia.

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, the proposed project has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

This report presents the results of an intensive archeological survey of the proposed routing of the Fall Line Freeway between the Twiggs/Wilkinson County line and the western terminus of the Sandersville bypass in central Washington County.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of two road extensions totaling approximately three miles in length and encompassing 150 feet of right-of-way.

The purpose of this report is to present the results of a recently completed Phase I archaeological survey of the Area of Potential Effect (APE) of the Bud Hutcheson Road Extension project in Coffee County, Georgia.

In February 2004, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed location of the Greene County Regional Airport expansion project.
