For this safety action project, the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) proposes safety improvements along three roads in DeKalb County, totaling about 7.97 miles. All of the work for this project will take place within the existing right-of-way (ROW).

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has developed a Low Impact Bridge program (LIBP) to provide expedited project delivery for the least complicated type bridge replacement projects.

The project involves the replacement of the bridge carrying Old West Point Road (CR 29) over an unnamed tributary of the Chattahoochee River under GDOT’s Low Impact Bridge Program (LIBP) in Harris County (Attachment 1). The existing bridge is structurally deficient and will be replaced.

The project involves the replacement of the bridge carrying Bethany Church Road (CR 2) over a tributary of Turkey Creek in Harris County (Attachment 1). The project is included in GDOT’s Low Impact Bridge Program (LIBP). The existing bridge is structurally deficient and will be replaced.

The project involves the replacement of the bridge carrying 0 Street (CR 248) over Palmetto Creek under GDOT’s Low Impact Bridge Program (LIBP) in Harris County (Attachment 1). The existing bridge is structurally deficient and will be replaced.

Environmental Corporation of America’s (ECA) client, Southern Communications Services, d/b/a SouthernLINC Wireless c/o Value Concepts, Inc., is proposing to construct a communications facility as described in the following FCC Form 620, New Tower (NT) Submission Packet.

The proposed project would consist of pavement resurfacing and restriping and traffic signal modifications along a roughly 2.9-mile section of State Route (SR) 9 / U.S.

The project would grade separate the existing at-grade intersection of State Route (SR) 316 / US 29 with SR 11 in Barrow County, Georgia. The proposed grade separation would include full interchange access from SR 316 / US 29 in both directions to SR 11 in both directions and vice-versa.

Environmental Corporation of America’s (ECA) client, Beacon Towers, LLC is proposing to lease a 100-foot by 100-foot (~30-meter by 30-meter) area for the construction of a telecommunications facility as described in the following FCC Form 620, New Tower (NT) Submission Packet.
