The Battle of Atlanta Trail project will connect two Civil War monuments to a shopping center, neighborhoods, parks, Hope Charter School and the Southeast YMCA.

The proposed project would replace the existing, structurally deficient State Route (SR) 299 bridge over Interstate 24 (I-24) in Dade County, Georgia. The bridge is the overpass for the I-24, Exit 169 interchange. It is located approximately .6 miles south of the Georgia/Tennessee state line.

On January 13 and 22, 2015, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed roundabout at Jodeco Road at Blackhall Road/Longwood Drive in Henry County, Georgia (Georgia Department of Transportation [GDOT] P.I. No. 0012642, HP No. 150130-002).

SR 5 Connector/Ernest W Barrett Parkway (Barrett Parkway) currently forms a four way intersection with George Busbee Parkway (Busbee Parkway) and Roberts Court. Barrett Parkway consists of three 12- foot travel lanes in each direction separated by a 4-6 foot raised median.

This project would include construction of sidewalks and streetscape improvements along both sides of Fort Benning Road in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia (see attached Figure 1). The project would begin at Shelby Street and end at the gate entrance to Fort Benning military reservation.

The proposed project consists of upgrading the existing traffic signal installations at five intersections in Washington County and within the city limits of Sandersville and Tennille.

The project would include the installation of equipment and software needed to implement adaptive traffic signal management, known as an Advanced Transportation Management System (ATMS), including vehicle count stations and vehicle detection devices.

The proposed project includes some combinations of new signal poles, cabinets, and signal equipment upgrades, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant wheelchair ramps on SR 155 at Alston Drive, Hosea L. Williams Drive, and Kirk Road in DeKalb County.

The proposed project would consist of combining the separate intersections of Campbellton Road at Boat Rock Road and Boat Rock Road at New Hope Road into a single roundabout intersection.
