The proposed project would consist of the realignment of the intersection of Hillandale Dr. and Fairington Rd. in DeKalb Co. approximately 250 ft north of 1-20 to improve safety and operational efficiency of the intersection.

Original: The proposed bridge would be constructed on existing alignment and be 160 ft long and 40 ft wide to accommodate two 12-ft wide travel lanes and 8-ft paved shoulders. The bridge would be longer than specified in the initial concept report (120 ft) due to engineering refinements.

This project is an Addendum to Phase I Archaeological Survey of SR 42 Bridge Replacement Over the Echeconnee Creek, Monroe County, Georgia. Original: The proposed project would replace the exiting bridge with a new 40 ft. wide concrete bridge that is approximately 260 ft. in length.

The right-of-way has been expanded to include areas previously identified as easement. In addition, these areas on the east side of the road have been expanded 10-20 feet. As in the originally approved plans, there is a sediment basin shown on the north side of SR 18/US 27 at Station 110+00.
