The proposed project would reconstruct the existing bridge on Grimes Bridge Road over Big Creek on the existing alignment.

The proposed project would consist of the construction of sidewalks and wheelchair ramps along both sides of Covington Highway from approximately 350 feet west of Memorial Drive to Redan Road in DeKalb County, Georgia.

Original: The proposed project would replace the existing bridge over Town Creek with a new bridge approximately 120 feet long by 44 feet wide on existing alignment. The bridge would contain two 12-foot wide travel lanes with 10-foot wide shoulders.

The design plans have been revised and the project length is now approximately 2,727 feet. This represents a reduction in project length of approximately 13 feet. The proposed bridge would be 235 feet long and 44 feet wide. The previous CE and Reevaluation proposed a 200-foot long bridge.
