The following research design outlines Edwards- Pitman Environmental, Inc.'s (EPEI's) proposed study approach for a battlefield archaeological survey of an area of Cobb and Paulding counties, Georgia.

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey was conducted by the LAMAR Institute on portions of the Sibley Mill historic site. Collectively, the LAMAR Institute research team examined a total of 2535.5 m 2 (0.63 acres or 0.25 hectares) within four GPR sample blocks.

The Clapp Factory Cemetery (State Archaeological Site Number 9Me187) is located in northern Muscogee County, just east of the Chattahoochee River and below the Georgia Power Company's Oliver Dam. The cemetery property is owned by Georgia Power Company.

Camp Frank D. Merrill is home to the 5th Ranger Training Battalion, U.S. Army. The ranger camp was established in 1952 and includes 282 acres of the north Georgia mountains in Lumpkin County (Figure 1).

                A Phase I cultural resource survey of the proposed Indian Boundary Mine in northern Charlton County, Georgia for Southern Ionics Minerals, LLC was conducted by Golder Associates Inc. in January 2017. Laboratory analysis and reporting were completed in November 2017.
