Report Abstracts

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project STP-0001-00(577), Catoosa County, has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places

This is a bridge project, BRZLB-195(16), located in Madison County. The bridge is on CR 133/ Sun Ray Hatchery Road and crosses South Fork Broad River. The existing structure is 23 feet long and 13 feet wide consisting of timber piles, steel beams, and a wood deck.

This is a bridge project, BRS-1264(1), located in Madison County. The bridge is on SR 191 and crosses Bluestone Creek. The existing bridge is 24 feet wide and 100 feet long consisting of timber piles, steel beams, and a concrete deck. The existing ROW is 80 feet.

This is a bridge project, BRZLB-195(11), located in Madison County. The bridge is on CR 274 and crosses South Fork Broad River. The existing bridge is 41.7 feet long and 12.5 feet wide consisting of steel beams, wooden deck, and concrete wings and abutments.

This is a bridge project, BRZLB-195(12), located in Madison County. The bridge is on CR 147 and crosses South Fork Broad River. The existing structure is 16 feet wide and 165 feet long consisting of a vertical pony truss, steel beams, and a concrete deck. The existing ROW is 60 feet.

The proposed project would replace the State Route (SR) 53 westbound bridge over the Chattahoochee River, Lake Lanier, approximately 4.5 miles west of Gainesville, Georgia. The proposed bridge would be 36 feet wide, with a 4-foot wide inside shoulder.

In August of 2017, Vanasse Hangen Brustlin (VHB), Inc. completed a Phase I archaeological survey in support of a bridge replacement along State Route (SR) 169 over the Canoochee River in Evans County, Georgia (PI No. 0013596).
