This segment of the project involves the paving of an existing dirt road. Slight right-of-way changes are need to improve the road alignment. As the project traverse’s upland terrain away from close water sources there should not be extensive archaeological sites involved.

This project consists of road widening of Hwy. 85 between 1185 and the end of Gentian Road in Columbus. Several areas were spot checked and examined along this r/w. This showed that Lindsey creek, which flow through the area, had been channelized.
