Report Abstracts

This project improves upon existing electrical systems by installing electrical generators and associated equipment at the Plains High School building, which is the park Visitor Center and Museum, and the Bally Building, a museum storage building.

In the spring of 2002, Panamerican Consultants, Inc. (PCI) was awarded a contract (Delivery Order No. 3) for a Phase II investigation of 19 selected sites within the Fort Benning Military Reservation.

Subterranean Consultants (STC) conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the Stillson-C telecommunication facility lease area and access/utility easement on July 31, 2020. The project area is in east Bulloch County in Brooklet, Georgia.

On the afternoon of March 23, 2000, I visited the cemetery with an assistant. It was immediately clear that it was definitely a cemetery, as there were numerous east-west oriented linear depressions with field stones at west and east ends of many of the graves.

Two abandoned cemeteries are located on Engelhard Corporation's property immediately northwest of the McIntyre city limits (Figure 1). Both are adjacent to a settling pond that is associated with the processing of kaolin.

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) wishes to widen a portion of State Bridge Road in northern Fulton County.

This is a brief report of investigations at an abandoned cemetery in Washington, Georgia. The cemetery is located within a 34-acre tract that is currently owned by Mr. O.A. Denard. The wooded tract is a potential site of a proposed apartment complex for senior citizens.

The Freeman Cemetery is a small, family burial ground located in the sparsely developed southeast portion of the town of Arcade (Figure 1), in south central Jackson County.
