14332 Gresham, Thomas H. Abandoned Cemetery at Parks Mill Landing, Putnam County

On the afternoon of March 23, 2000, I visited the cemetery with an assistant. It was immediately clear that it was definitely a cemetery, as there were numerous east-west oriented linear depressions with field stones at west and east ends of many of the graves.

This is a brief report of investigations at an abandoned cemetery in Washington, Georgia. The cemetery is located within a 34-acre tract that is currently owned by Mr. O.A. Denard. The wooded tract is a potential site of a proposed apartment complex for senior citizens.
