Report Abstracts

Pursuant to Georgia Code Section 36-72, on April 13, 1999, an archeological survey was conducted at a small cemetery on the property of Mr. Art Bennett in Wal ton County, Georgia. Mr.

Per your request, on behalf of Southeastern Archeological services, I conducted archival research and archaeological investigation of a known cemetery on the north side of Pope Road about 650 ft west of Pedenville Road in western Pike County.

I report herein on my archeological delineation of a cemetery located north of Bos Circle in northwestern Walton County (see Figure 1).

On December 15, 1998, during a public meeting regarding the proposed widening of US 78/SR 17, Mr. Greg Harden reported there was an abandoned cemetery on his property, and that it was very close to, or within, the proposed new right-of-way. I made arrangements with Mr.

Per your request, I delineated the Johnson Cemetery using minimally invasive archeological techniques on Friday, May 19, 2006. The cemetery is located in a pasture on the northwest side of Alcovy Road northeast (but within the city limits) of the town of Covington.

The bathymetry, or underwater depth, throughout a coastal region is a critical dataset that impacts many facets of coastal environmental and hazard management.

In April 2004, Erin May of Preservation Studio South contracted the author concerning an architectural assessment and rehabilitation of the historic Spencer Marsh House in Lafayette, Walker County, Georgia. As part of their project, Ms.

HPD Archaeological Services Unit staff conducted an archaeological survey prior to installation of a drain field at the African Baptist Church at Raccoon Bluff on Sapelo Island. The community received a Heritage 2000 grant from HPD to renovate the circa 1900 wood frame church.
