Under a subcontract with Greenhome & O'Mara ( contracting with Georgia Department of Transportation) [GDOT], Brockington and Associates, Inc., performed an intensive archaeological resources survey (Phase I) within the proposed improvement corridors for US 441 in Morgan and Putnam counties.

In late June, 2001, Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS) conducted an archeological survey of a portion of a proposed 3.6 m (12 it) wide multi-use path that Cobb County wishes to construct immediately adjacent to Stilesboro Road, Old U.S.

On October 3,2001, New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey for improvements to the proposed widening projects along Interstate 20 between Alcovy Road and Hazelbrand Road, Newton County, Georgia.

From 9 April to 3 May and 5 to 9 November 2001, Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted Phase I and II archaeological investigations in the Morey Wetland Mitigation Tract for Greenhorne and O'Mara, Inc., under contract with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).

In October of 2001, an archeological survey of approximately 36 ha (90 ac) of salt marsh was conducted in Chatham County, Georgia. The survey area is located at the southern tip of the Isle of Hope (Wormsloe State Historic Site) and immediately north of Diamond Causeway.

In January 2002, SITE, Inc. conducted a Phase I survey of the proposed replacement of the State Route 45 bridge over Kinchafoonee Creek in Sumterl Webster County, Georgia. The project corridor is approximately 1.36 km (0.8 mi) long and 30 meters (100 ft) wide.

Brockington and Associates, Inc. conducted Phase III data recovery investigations at 9EF188 between September 3 and 12,2001. Site 9EF188 is located at the proposed location of the Plant McIntosh Combined Cycle Facility, in eastern Effingham County, Georgia.
