On June 3, 2002 Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS), conducted an archeological survey of a highway intersection in Gordon County, Georgia.

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) wishes to replace the bridge on State Route 156 (SR 156) that crosses John's Creek on the border between Floyd and Gordon Counties, Georgia (Figure 1).

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) wishes to replace the bridge on State Route 122 that crosses Little River on the boundary between Brooks and Lowndes Counties, Georgia (Figure 1).

In January 2002, SITE, Inc. conducted a Phase I survey of the proposed replacement of the State Route 240 bridge over Buck Creek in Macon County, Georgia. The project corridor is approximately 1.07 km (0.64 mi) long and 30 meters (100 ft) wide.

In January 2002, SITE, Inc. conducted a Phase I survey of the proposed replacement of the State Route 153 bridge over Little Muckalee Creek in Schley County, Georgia. The project corridor is approximately 0.65 km (0.39 mi) long and 60 meters (200 ft) wide.

The Live Oaks Company, LLC proposes to construct a power plant on acreage near the community of Sterling in Glynn County, Georgia (Figure I). A cultural resources survey was required under the Section 106 permitting process for the project.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the Jennings Mill Parkway Extension project in Oconee County, Georgia. The proposed corridor is approximately 2.5 miles in length and includes about 100 feet of right-of-way.

In January 2002, SITE, Inc. conducted a Phase I survey of the proposed replacement of the State Route 137 bridge over Oochee Creek in Marion County, Georgia. The project corridor is approximately 0.63 km (0.38 mi) long and 30 meters (100 ft) wide.

Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted an extensive Phase I archaeological resources survey for the proposed Bridge Replacement on State Route 166 (SR 166) over the Dog River Reservoir in Douglas County, Georgia, under contract with Register and Associates, Inc.

In April 2002, SITE, Inc. conducted a Phase I survey of the proposed realignment of State Route 26 at State Route 49 in Macon County, Georgia. State Route 26 will be realigned from an angle of 34 degrees to a 90 degree angle.
