New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of a proposed water line location at the Chestatee River crossing of Georgia Highway 400 in Lumpkin County, Georgia. The survey was completed on August 8, 2001. The survey corridor is approximately 500 feet long.

On December 12, 2001 the proposed improvements to the intersection of Lexington Highway (S.R. 77), Double Branch Road (S.R. 368) and Brewers Bridge Road (C.R. 242) were archeologically surveyed. The area of potential effect (APE) totals .85 ha (2.1 ac). No archeological sites were discovered.

TRC conducted a Phase I cultural resources survey for the proposed Center Point-Swamp Creek transmission line project in Whitfield County, Georgia, south of Dalton, on July 12 and 13, 2001. The project was undertaken for the TVA.

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) wishes to replace the bridge on State Route 18 (SR 18) that crosses Walnut Creek in southwest Jones County, about 6 km west of Gray, Georgia (Figure 1).

TRC Garrow Associates, Inc. (TRC) conducted a cultural resources survey of a proposed pipeline corridor, access roads, and contractor yards in Chatham and Effingham counties, Georgia.

Previously, right-of-way acquisition was limited to miters at each quadrant of the intersection. A 25-foot wide and 330 foot long strip of additional right-of-way was also required along the south side of SR 16. west of CR 55.

An intensive archaeological resources survey was carried out for the Georgia Transmission Corporation's proposed Flint River, Smithville, Americus (FSA) Transmission Line in Lee and Sumter counties, Georgia.

Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. conducted archeological data recovery excavations on two sites related to the historic Creek town of Buzzard Roost during two sessions in 1996 and 1998. The project area is located in Taylor County, Georgia, on the western side of the Flint River.
