Report Abstracts

This report is the Archeological Survey of Project CSSTP-M003-00(357) in Whitfield County. The proposed project is a maintenance project that would resurface the existing pavement of SR 3 beginning I 188' west of the bridge over I-75 and ending at the bridge over the CSX Railroad.

In early November, 2005 Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., conducted a Phase I archeological survey of the proposed 10.11 ac Friendship Loop 115/12kV substation in northwestern Forsyth County.

Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS), contracted with Infratec Consultants, Inc. to conduct a Phase I cultural resources survey of the impact area resulting from a proposed reservoir on Russell Creek in Dawson County, Georgia.

The survey reported here was designed to locate archeological sites in the areas of potential effect for the proposed replacement of a bridge over Little Chickamauga Creek on Colbert Hollow Road in the southern portion of Catoosa County.

Athens-Clarke County plans to upgrade the existing Middle Oconee Water Reclamation Facility by constructing additional treatment units, a chemical storage building and other improvements to the facility.

Athens-Clarke County plans to upgrade the existing North Oconee Water Reclamation Facility by adding a head works building, clarifiers, aeration tanks, maintenance buildings and other improvements to the facility.

In 1994 Brandenburg Properties wished to develop a parcel adjoining the Augusta Canal National Landmark district in northern Augusta, Georgia. This required a permit from the U.S.

In July 2005, Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS) conducted a Phase I archeological survey of approximately 7.0 km (4.36 mi) of proposed 230/25 kV transmission line corridor and two proposed substation sites, one approximately 3.0 ha (7.34 ac) and the other 2.85 ha (7.0 ac).

Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. conducted a cultural resources survey of approximately 5 ha (12 ac) in Johnson County, Georgia. The project included a standing structure survey of the area immediately surrounding the survey tract.

In June, 2005 Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., conducted a Phase I archeological survey of a proposed 9.5 ha (23.5 ac) substation tract in central Cherokee County, Georgia.
