On February 17 and 19, 1981 archaeological test excavations were conducted for a proposed post office carrier facility located south of Rawson Street, east of Pryor Street, and west of Central Avenue in downtown Atlanta.

The Powder Springs to Lost Mountain transmission line was surveyed in order to locate and identify any sites which may exist and to assess whether any such sites are eligible for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.

The proposed Five Forks to Lawrenceville transmission line, Gwinnett County, Georgia was surveyed in order to locate and identify any sites which might be eligible for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.

The proposed Mountain Park to Woodstock transmission line was walked between New Home Baptist Church and the substation on highway 92 near Woodstock. No significant archaeological sites were discovered.

A cultural resource reconnaissance was conducted on a 16 ha in Long County, Georgia. The project area is situated on the interface, between pine flatwoods and-the Altamaha River swamp.

Two project loci in Big Lazer Creek Wildlife Management Area were examined for the presence of cultural resources. Neither project will impact any known sites. Two historic structure sites were recorded and several other resources were noted.

Between August 4 and 11, 1980, Archaeological Research Associates, Inc. conducted a cultural resources survey at portions of the Albany Dougherty County Airport. A literature search ensued for information on local history, ethnohistory, prehistory and environment.

This report describes the results of an archaeological survey of the proposed rapid infiltration waste treatment facility site, adjacent alternative site properties and three alternate outfall corridors in and near Waycross, Georgia (Fig. 1).
