On March 6, 1981, an initial archaeological reconnaissance and cultural resource assessment was conducted of the 6.2 acre site of the proposed Long County, Georgia Public Boat Ramp.

The present survey was designed to identify and evaluate cultural resources within a limited and non-contiguous research universe located along the Chattahoochee River of the Fort Benning Military Reservation, Georgia and Alabama.

Between January 15 and 18, 1981 , an on site Cultural Resource study of the proposed Powder Springs Industrial Park Outfall (80-12-04-10) project area was conducted.

A cultural resources survey of a portion of Walnut Fork Road in the Warwoman Wildlife Refuge which is scheduled for reconstruction resulted in the location of two small Archaic lithic scatter sites in saddles at Black Stump Gap and Duck's Nest Gap.

On December 5 and 6, 1980, an archaeological assessment was conducted on a tract of land in Bibb County, Georgia containing approximately 90 acres (Figure 1).

This survey and assessment was initiated at the request of the applicant, Mr. Howard Gordon, Howard Development Company, via the Cobb County Planning Department.
