Project EDS-545(3), McDuffie County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

The proposed project would replace the bridge over the Yellow River on Irwin Bridge Road, which has been deemed structurally insufficient. The county plans to construct a new bridge with a 350 foot span in the same location as the old bridge.

In February 2007, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed Bright Star Road Park and Ride project area. The proposed project consists of constructing a park and ride lot facility on an 8.6-acre site located in Douglas County, Georgia.

Parsons Brinekerhdff (PD) plans to construct high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes, truck-only lanes, bus rapid transit (BRT) stations, and park-and-ride facilities to serve the I-75 and I-575 corridors. The study area is located northwest of downtown Atlanta, Georgia.

Project BR-0003-00(842) would replace the existing structurally deficient bridge on CR 85/Joyner Road over Little Tired Creek in Grady County, Georgia. This project was originally surveyed by Shawn Patch in July of 2004 and again in June of 2005 (HP040604-09).

The proposed project would reconstruct the existing interchange on Interstate 75 (1-75) and County Road (CR) 418/Omega-Eldorado Road (Exit 55) in Tift County.

This project is the widening and reconstruction of SR 306/Keith Bridge Road from the SR 400 northbound ramps to east of SR 369, including the extension of the bridge culvert at Baldridge Creek. The existing roadway consists of 2-12 foot lanes (1 in each direction) with rural shoulders.

During January 2007, R.S. Webb & Associates conducted a Phase I archeological resources survey of the proposed Little Bear Creek Wastewater Treatment Expansion Area in Henry County, Georgia.

Severe site erosion caused by storm activity prompted the National Park Service to request archaeological investigations at two sites on Cumberland Island, in Camden County, Georgia.
