Report Abstracts

In November 2011, New South Associates conducted a Phase 2 Historic Resources Survey of the proposed Dresden-Heard 500 kV Transmission Line in Coweta and Heard counties.

The proposed project would consist of the construction of a new interchange approximately 400 feet west of the existing intersection of SR 72 and SR 17 northwest of Elberton. The interchange would consist of four ramps, three of which would be loops.

This document describes the results of Phase I cultural resources investigation of the Southern Natural Gas Company Zone 3 Expansion Project in Upson County, Georgia (Project #HP-080429-005). This investigation was conducted on behalf of CH2M Hill in May of 2015 by R.

The proposed project consists of the construction of a new interchange at SR 72 and SR 17, northwest of Elberton. The interchange would consist of four ramps, three of which would be loops. Required right-of-way for this project totals approximately 36.7 acres.

The proposed project would reconstruct 14 median crossovers on SR 247/US 129 in Bibb County. The total project length is 4.25 miles. Existing right-of-way is 100 feet and no additional right-of-way would be required.

Enclosed is a copy of the archaeological survey report for these State-Aid bridge replacement projects. In the opinion of our staff archaeologist, the cultural resources of the state will not be affected by the projects.

Enclosed is a copy of the archaeological survey report for the proposed bridge replacement over Devil‘s Branch in Effingham County. It is the opinion of the staff archaeologist that there will be no effect to the State's cultural resources by this project.
