Report Abstracts

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed intersection improvements at Alternate U.S. Highway 27 /State Route 16 at Old Carrollton Road in Coweta County, Georgia. Archaeological field investigations took place on March 28, 2002.

Terracon conducted a Phase I Archaeological Survey in preparation for the widening of 1-20 between Thornton Road/SR 6, Douglas County and Hamilton E. Holmes Road/SR 280, Fulton County in accordance with a contract from Earth Tech and the Georgia Department of Transportation.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I Archaeological Survey of the 101-acre Blackjack tract in Hall County, Georgia. The survey was conducted from May 23 to 31, 2006 in preparation for a land exchange.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey for the proposed Timber Ridge Drive/Prestley Mill Rd intersection improvement and road realignment project on July 3, 2000.

R.S. Webb & Associates conducted a Phase I cultural resources survey for the proposed 170-acre (68.8- hectare) Shugart Farms Lake Park Development Site in Fulton County, Georgia. This tract includes the western portion of an 18-acre (7 .9-hectare) impoundment, City Lake.

In January 2009, R. S. Webb & Associates conducted a Phase I archeological resources survey of proposed improvements to the Ball's Ferry State Historic Site in Wilkinson County, Georgia. The survey was conducted on behalf of MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Inc.

On June 11, 2009, Brockington and Associates, Inc. completed a Phase I cultural resources survey at the proposed location of a US Army Reserve Center, southwest of the intersection of Georgia State Route 316 and Bethlehem Road, near Winder, Georgia (referred to as the Preferred Site).

Between July 2 and August 2, 2006, Brockington and Associates, Inc. conducted cultural resources background research concerning two potentially historic buildings located at 148 and 158 Edgewood Avenue in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed Tolbert Street widening on July 9, 2003.

This report presents the results of an architectural historical documentation and archaeological data recovery of Site 9FU411, the Spier House, conducted by New South Associates, Inc. Fieldwork for this project took place in May, September, and October of 2004.
