Project M-4700, Tift County is in an urban area within the city limits of Tifton and involves widening Central Street from 2 to 4 lanes from Interstate 75 to Seventh Street, a little over 2 kilometers. The project will require an additional 12 feet (3.7 meters) of right-of-way on either side.

The project involves widening and improvements at a high hazard stream crossing over Little River west of Tifton on U.S. 82 - S.R. 50 (Fig. 1). The three bridges and approaches will be widened on the south side, requiring a maximum of 22 feet of additional right-of-way.
