Data recovery excavations were conducted at cultural property GP-JO-05, Jones County, Georgia, between August 19 and September 30, 1985 and between April 1 and May 23, 1986. Cultural property GP-JO-05 was owned, and sometimes occupied, by the Freeman family between cat 1817 to 1876.

Cultural property GP-SN-03 (designated (T) 9 Sn C.P. # 11 in Garrow 1984) is located in Screven County, Georgia within the Vidalia Uplands of the Coastal Plain Physiographic Province.

During the months of October and November, 1994 New South Associates conducted a 16 mile survey of U.S. Highway 25/SR 121 in Burke and Richmond counties. A total of 12 sites and six isolated finds were located along the Widening Existing alternate.

On April 17 and 29, 1998, New South Associates conducted field work for the archaeological survey of alternate segments for the Thomson Bypass. These segments, totaling approximately 2.3 miles (3.7 km) of new alignment, will accomplish the straightening of curves along the bypass.
