Archaeological sites 9BK65, 9BK66 and 9BK67 were recorded by Georgia Society of Archaeology member Gary Doster in 1987. Mr. Doster and the owner of the property, Dr. Forest Kellogg made small collections from the sites and donated those collections to the University of Georgia.

The Georgia Department of Transportation and Greene County are proposing to widen, and partially realign Linger Longer Road and Reubens Ridge Road, both of which will provide access to a new Ritz-Carlton Lodge on Lake Oconee. A 500 ft (152 m) wide corridor, 6.7 km (4.2 mi) long, was surveyed.

Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS) conducted archeological testing of sites 9GE119, 9GE1665, and 9GE1667 on Reynolds Plantation on Lake Oconee during the month of July 1998.

Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. conducted archeological data recovery excavations on two sites related to the historic Creek town of Buzzard Roost during two sessions in 1996 and 1998. The project area is located in Taylor County, Georgia, on the western side of the Flint River.

Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS) conducted a reconnaissance level survey of approximately 1800 acres of partially developed land known as the Briar Rose Tract during the summer of 2003.

Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS) conducted an intensive archeological survey of a 449-acre tract of land known as the Carey Station Tract in February and March of 2004. The survey was conducted at the request of Reynolds Plantation for future planning.
