Report Abstracts

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project RS-0953(11), Effingham, has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

Bridge over Big Slough Creek is proposed to be, replace on existing alignment with a 180’ x 38’ concrete bridge. Road shall be closed during construction and traffic would be maintained on other routes. No additional right of way would be required.

Proposed triple 10’ 6’ x 36’ concrete bridge culvert on existing alignment. Eighty feet of right of way will be required for construction. Road will be closed during construction.

New structures will be a triple 9’ x 8’ x 50’ bridge culvert, a double 7’ x 6’ x 50’ box culvert, a triple 9’ x 8’ x 50’ bridge culvert, a triple 9’ x 8’ x 50’ bridge culvert and a 40’ x 320’’ bridge, respectively.

Beginning bridge approximately 100 feet from new structure, ends approximately 72 feet from new structure. Required right of way 15 and 10 feet left and 5 and 25 feet right. Required 43 feet triple 7 x 5 concrete bridge culverts. No detours required. Road to be closed during construction.

Begins approximately 800’ south of creek and ends approximately 800’ north of creek. New structure a concrete bridge. 200’ long x 28’ wide. Required right of way 80.’ Existing structure to be closed during construction-county to provide detour.

The project begins approximately 241.40, west of the stream and ends approximately 241.40m east of the stream. The new structure will be a 9.75m x 121.92, concrete bridge. No additional right of way will be required.

Archeological Assessment o f a Pickens County Road Improvement Project.

This is a bridge project, BRSLB-2294(1), located in Floyd County. The bridge is on CR 129 and crosses Dykes Creek. The existing structure is a 51 feet long by 16 foot wide bridge with concrete piers and abutments as well as a two span concrete slab. The existing ROW is 60 feet.
