In 2018, Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted a Phase I cultural resources survey for three alternate routes for the proposed Butler-Junction City Mining Tract Transmission Line Corridor. The survey was performed as an act of due diligence for Georgia Power, a Southern Company.

Subterranean Consultants (STC) conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed lease area and access/utility easement of the CSX telecommunication facility on April 4, 2019.

Environmental Corporation of America (ECA) has completed an Archaeological Assessment for the federal undertaking at the subject site.
