Report Abstracts

A survey for archaeological and historic landmarks between the town of Suwanee, Georgia and a point just north of Norcross, Georgia was conducted. Two sites of prehistoric habitation were discovered.

In response to the Department of Natural Resources Clearinghouse letter of December 30, 1975, a field survey was conducted of SU-1727(3), Richmond County by the archaeologist attached to the Environmental Analysis Bureau.

Impact Statement for Department of Transportation project, S-0799(2), Richmond, County. One projectile point was found near the Augusta city limits, but nothing else of historic or prehistoric importance was encountered during the survey of the impact area.

Project RF-026-1, located in Chattahoochee-Muscogee Counties, involves widen the existing approaches and bridges over Upatoi Creek on State Route 1, US 27 and 280 on the Chattahoochee-Muscogee County line.

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project FR-058-1(19), Rabun County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

Environmental Corporation of America (ECA) has completed an Archaeological Assessment for the federal undertaking at the subject site.

In July 2019, Trileaf Corporation (Trileaf) performed a cultural resource inventory survey for a proposed self-support lattice tower telecommunication facility located in Wilcox County, Rochelle, Georgia (Latitude: 31° 56’ 57.91” Longitude: -83° 29’ 2.71”).

The subject property is located at 347 GA Highway 240 (GA-240), Ellaville, Schley County, Georgia 30806, at coordinates 32°19'05.73" N, 84°17'16.83" W.

On behalf of the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), New South Associates, Inc. (NSA) conducted a Phase I Archaeological Survey of proposed improvements to SR 24/Fall Line Freeway from east of Chambers Brooks Spring Road to west of Helton Lane in Washington County (PI #0015878).
