Material is exposed here more abundantly on the gentle slope above the river flood plain. This land is farmed regularly. The site well may continue to the south of U.S. 411. The material which is found on the surface here is stone. This apparently was a workshop area.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey on August 4, 1998 of the proposed Northwest Parkway in Bibb County. The project corridor began at Hollingsworth Road and continued generally north on new location to the intersection of Napier Avenue and Park Street.
