The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District is proposing to perform periodic renourishment to the Tybee Island Beach Erosion Control Project, Chatham County, Georgia. Approximately 1,400,000 cubic yards of material will be placed on the beach within the limits of the Federal project.

13791 Pennington, Marilyn Johnson Unnamed Archaeological Site – (411 Etowah River Bridge Site)

Material is exposed here more abundantly on the gentle slope above the river flood plain. This land is farmed regularly. The site well may continue to the south of U.S. 411. The material which is found on the surface here is stone. This apparently was a workshop area.
