Report Abstracts

In June 1993 Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. surveyed the 16.9 km (10.5 mi) proposed route of a bypass around the west side of Swainsboro (King 1993). After submission of the survey report, the routing of the northern portion of the bypass was changed.

R.S. Webb & Associates conducted a cultural resources assessment of the proposed Silver Creek Land Exchange Site in Forsyth County, Georgia July 21 through August 7, 1995.

In order to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of managing park resources and providing visitor protection and services, Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is considering three plots of land for divestiture.

During February and September 1991, a cultural resource investigation was conducted for the proposed Brunswick Harbor Bar Channel Widening Project. Two separate areas were investigated, the Channel Widening area and a proposed groin construction site on St. Simons Island Beach.

New South Associates conducted six days of Phase I intensive archaeological survey of 800 acres of the Gwinnett Progress Center in Gwinnett County during the period from February 22 through March 3, 1995.

This report documents an archaeological survey of the proposed site of the Oglethorpe Power Company North Lilburn 115/12kV Substation in Gwinnett County, Georgia (Figure 1).

On August 27, 28, and 29, 1986 the Georgia Department of Transportation conducted archaeological test excavations at site 9HL20 in Hall County, Georgia.

Garrow & Associates, Inc., conducted Phase IIa testing on 110 sites within the flood pools of the proposed Beach Creek and Tallapoosa River water supply systems from May 14 through June 16, 1995, and from July 10 through July 14, 1995 (Figure 1).

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, GDOT Project BRZLB-147(10), Hart County, was surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.

Archaeological survey of the 11.94 acre Holbrook Tract, in Hart County, Georgia, was conducted by Brockington and Associates, Inc., during April 1992.
