An archeological survey of four alternative routes of the final, southern section of the Harry S. Truman Parkway was conducted in 1994 and 1995.

An intensive cultural resources survey of the two mile long Phase V segment of the Harry S. Truman Parkway encountered three archeological sites and a historic house dating to 1926.
