Volume I. The Redfield Cemetery in southern Jones County was excavated by archeologists prior to the construction of a new reservoir. Eighty graves were identified, excavated, and analyzed.

Southeastern Archeological Services conducted archeological testing of two sites on northern Skidaway Island for the firm of Hussey, Gay, Bell, and DeYoung, Inc. The sites are on property owned by the University System of Georgia.

The subject project would consist of upgrading end treatments of guardrail at various locations. While some earthwork would be involved in the removal and replacement of the guardrail end treatments, these areas have been disturbed previously with the installation of the existing guardrail.

This report presents the results of an archeological survey that was conducted at the location of a proposed connector road between McDonough Highway and Flat Shoals Road, just south of Conyers in central Rockdale County (Figure 1).

A cultural resources survey was conducted along the shoreline of an existing, approximately eight acre, reservoir in southeastern Cherokee County, Georgia. If the water level is raised by 2.3 ft, as planned, then approximately eight more acres will be inundated.

Engelhard Corporation wishes to channelize about 150 m of Little Commissioner Creek that abuts a retaining berm to a kaolin mining tailings pond in northwest Wilkinson County (Figure 1). The sharply winding creek is threatening the long-term stability of the retaining berm.

Don Williams Home Builders, Inc. is presently constructing a housing subdivision, called Park Place, on a ca. 58 acre tract of land in the northeast portion of the city of Winder (Figure 1). The tract contains a known, marked cemetery that has been referred to as the Graham Cemetery.
