The excavations of an Early Woodland period site in northwest Georgia are described in detail. The Rush site (9FI164) dates to about 500 B.C. and is situated along the Etowah River, near Rome, Georgia.

During late fall 1988, archeological investigations were conducted at Florence Marina State Park, Stewart County, Georgia, prior to the construction of new visitors' use facilities. The work was conducted by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc.

The Fulton County Department of Public Works intends to construct a new pumping station and pipeline in order to improve the County's wastewater system. A cultural resources survey was conducted and encountered two archeological sites, designated Field Site (FS) 1 and FS 2.

This report presents information on cultural resources in the area of the proposed West Georgia Reservoir. The principal goal of this survey was to locate, spatially and stratigraphically delineate, and preliminarily describe all sites in the project area.

An intensive cultural resources survey of a proposed 12 ha (30 ac) truck stop in Franklin County, Georgia found one prehistoric site (9Fk34) and noted the remnants of an early twentieth century residence and outbuildings, the Chambers House (9Fk35).
